Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy And Samini Are Polluting Ghanaians With Bad Songs – Kontihene

Nana Koithene is back again accusing many Ghanaian musicians for not releasing songs with good content. Kontihene in an interview on Wednesday morning told Black Eye, host of Day Break on Hitz FM said that he cannot market most of the recent music by Ghanaian musicians on the international market.

Kotihene who was reluctant in mentioning names asked the presenter to suggest any musician he thinks is doing good music for him, Kontihene to judge whether his song can get to the international market or not.

Musicians should stop releasing polluted songs. I can sell Rex Omar’s “Abiba” song in Ivory Coast but I cannot market many of the current songs from the new musicians we have in our country.

After Black Eye mentioned, Sarkodie, Samini, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s names as artistes who are doing well and can get their songs on the international market, Kontihene said otherwise. According to Kotihene, with the exception of Sarkodie’s “Adonai” hit song which features Castro, none of the song from these mentioned artistes can be sold on the international market.

I cannot sell the songs of these musicians you have mentioned because the content are not good to sell them to a foreigner. Looking at the production of songs from these musicians, I will exclude Adonai because it is a powerful song which can easily be marketed but there are most of the songs in the system that you cannot sell them to foreigners.

When asked about Kwaw Kese and Obrafour’s “Swedru Agona” hit song, Kontihene said he has never heard the song.
